Pros
The pay is reasonable and quarterly bonuses can be a nice infusion for the people living paycheck to paycheck. There is a lot of room for advancement and constant openings. The work can be challenging at times. The attendance policy is very lenient, up to 8 absences every 6 months.
Cons
The company has a bad track record of cronyism and favoritism when it comes to promotions that matter. It's not a feeling, it's a verified truth. That favoritism promotes unethical behavior that benefits only certain people, including myself, such as altering attendance records and excusing drug use. They don't train...like at all. Training for a job could be as little as 2 or 3 hours of shadowing someone. They have a long public reputation for keeping people long after they should, people that can't handle the job and put more work onto others. They have rampant understaffing issues even though many stores have a 10-12% payroll budget and will hire anyone with a pulse.
