Pros

major company, 10% discount There's very little good to say about Wal-mart. It's a major corporation that takes advantage of slave labour in third world companies to sell crap to poor people though manipulative sales techniques.

Cons

They care only about their bottom line. They cut every corner possible, including your hours/benefits, to maximize profits. If you're making record profits and exceed sales targets then there's no reason to cut hours.

Pros

Good salary, PTO, total benefits

Cons

Working weekends and holidays. It can also be hard to get PTO dates approved, at time, despite submitting far in advance.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
