Stable Job - Front End Associate Walmart Employee Review

Pros

Walmart is great for young people to find part-time jobs and also for people that have nowhere else to go. It is a staple in the local economy and the jobs are there to stay. They are very understanding with students/military for scheduling and they really work with you to get you through your education.

Cons

Very menial and not so challenging jobs throughout the entire store (I literally worked a little of everywhere, primarily on the Front-End with customer service and cashier though). Not very exciting to get up and go to your job everyday, especially if you are a cashier and have to deal with grumpy customers all day trying to get their way

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
