Good Opportunities - Walmart DC - Systems Operator Walmart Employee Review

Pros

Work schedule is fantastic (Either Tues-Fri or Sat-Mon). Bachelor's degree programs (though limited in range of career fields) are free to all associates no strings attached. They essentially tack on the school expenditure onto your paycheck as "money earned". For example, I made 42K a year, but with school involved it increased to 62K per year and was part of my taxes. Health benefits are decent.

Cons

Career growth and experience is limited. Time accrued for PTO is ghastly slow even after 11 years.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
