Easy job. Each store manager sets the mood for each store, so it can be a bad store or a really good one. - Inventory Associate Walmart Employee Review

Pros

If you're looking for opportunity this place is really good if you're a hard worker but it all depends on supervisors above you. If they show interest in you and they give you great feedback then they are probably waiting for either more experience or an open position to place you in

Cons

Most peers have probably been there for a very long time (5,10,15 years) and can tend to get annoyed when fresh blood comes in and just climbs that ladder. But that's not a Walmart issue, it's a people issue so just keep on pushing. Only a third of the managers at my store came from a college degree, most worked there way up from a base salary Walmart position

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
