Pros

Numerous store locations does offer opportunities for advancement. Salaried management pay and benefits on par (often better) than direct competitors.

Cons

Vision and direction from senior leadership confusing and often contradict direction given earlier, wasting money and resources. For the last two years, stores have been more focused on abstract "scorecards" and "processes" that the average customer really don't care about nor directly benefit from rather than just taking care of the customer. The recent "Clear Action Alley, Revisited" project, is yet one example. The long heralded Open Door policy has recently shut its doors.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
