Walser Response

Our goal in every interaction at Walser is to live by our Core Values--doing the right thing by people is at the center of who we are. Occasionally we may find ourselves with a situation that feels “less” than that. Talking through these things—leaders and employees together-- is a skill that most companies work to perfect - we are no different. As leaders we cannot correct what we don’t know about. For those who currently work with us and for who may be interested in working with us, please know we embrace this type of feedback and truly are striving to create a place where employees can share their perspectives, where we can change for the better, and employees are inspired to do great things. This year we will engage in several real-time employee engagement surveys, new hire surveys, and exit interviews to insure we are solely focused on improving engagement.

Pros

Good training, base salary, benefits like health insurance, 401k. Good pay plan for high volume dealerships.

Cons

Pay plan is entirely based on volume, and some rooftops are doing in a day what others do in a week. Do your research as to where you go because you can't switch to another dealership until you have tenure. The volume at Toyota is insane. Meanwhile I'm next door at the Buick GMC dealership and our volume is terrible, and I can't switch for months. I'm likely going to have to quit.
