Pros

Ability to earn a lot of money Upfront pricing stores with transparency to customers I really liked the direction the company was going when I started. I was passionate about the group and wanted to stay there for a long time. Having a salary was really great for lean months as well. Open pto is amazing. You can actually take a vacation which is great. Women of Walser is great too.

Cons

Chargebacks is a big one, it made a lot of us feel like there was no point in working. Dishonesty between managers and employees. Maybe this was my store. But I was told when I applied for a management position that I would make less in management than I would in sales. Which is completely untrue. With commission I made the base salary of a manager. Any time there was a mention of applying for a higher role at another dealership, or transferring to another dealership due to a move; the conversation was completely changed and avoided. I felt like I was stuck. Getting rid of lifetime. I know why it was done. I just wished there was a self insured program to keep the customer base strong. Lost a lot of deals over lifetime being gone, people opted to keep their cars. I also feel there would be a lot more success if we brought back finance managers. I feel the vsc penetration would go up drastically if we had dedicated people versus having one person do it all. And lastly. The recent changes to round robin. I agree with the round robin style. But I don’t agree with calling/texting/emailing prospects 3x a day. Customers are getting angry and I had been told a few times by customers that they didn’t appreciate being harassed.

Pros

Good training, base salary, benefits like health insurance, 401k. Good pay plan for high volume dealerships.

Cons

Pay plan is entirely based on volume, and some rooftops are doing in a day what others do in a week. Do your research as to where you go because you can't switch to another dealership until you have tenure. The volume at Toyota is insane. Meanwhile I'm next door at the Buick GMC dealership and our volume is terrible, and I can't switch for months. I'm likely going to have to quit.
