Extremely low pay while expecting 70+ hours from workers a week. HR and Walser claim to be about "People" but they misgender people, let sexual harassment slide, and only care about the money.
NEVER work for walser. awful.
Walser Response

Thank you for contacting us. We're very sorry to hear your employee experience at Walser was anything short of exceptional. As a company, we strive to be a progressive retailer for both our customers and our employees. That focus on the employee experience truly begins at the top with our CEO and CHRO; we're disappointed to know you had an experience that reflected anything else. Our people-focused mission is supported not only with a full-time Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Specialist, but budget-funded Employee Resource Groups focused on the support and marginalized and minoritized communities (Women of Walser, Drive With Pride, and Mosaic). We take this feedback seriously and our CHRO Sherry Schultz would like the opportunity to speak with you directly to learn more. Please contact her at your convenience at sschultz@walser.com. Thank you.
My experience at Walser exceeded my expectations! I learned so much and felt cared for as an employee and person. There is room to grow at Walser and encouragement to find what your'e good at to meet what you love!
Good training, base salary, benefits like health insurance, 401k. Good pay plan for high volume dealerships.
Cons
Pay plan is entirely based on volume, and some rooftops are doing in a day what others do in a week. Do your research as to where you go because you can't switch to another dealership until you have tenure. The volume at Toyota is insane. Meanwhile I'm next door at the Buick GMC dealership and our volume is terrible, and I can't switch for months. I'm likely going to have to quit.
