Pros

Fantastic and loyal people at the store level, that will always go the extra mile to help, great customer loyalty. Decent opportunities for growth (if you can get into the club)

Cons

Upper management. They’re proud of “doing things differently”, but they do a lot of things differently just for the sake of doing them differently, which often lead to bad results. Don’t buy that they adhere to values, or that they value a work-life balance. Financial performance trumps everything in a Walser store. If you can get into the inner circle, you’re set for life, otherwise you’re left out in the cold. You’ll slowly learn that you can’t ask for help, because that reveals that you don’t have it all figured out, and you won’t get any help anyway. Shame to say, but you’ll also learn to lie when they ask what you think. If you challenge the status quo, even just inside your own department, your days will be numbered. If you go along, figure everything out yourself, and don’t ask for support from HR or upper management, you’ll be fine.

Pros

Good training, base salary, benefits like health insurance, 401k. Good pay plan for high volume dealerships.

Cons

Pay plan is entirely based on volume, and some rooftops are doing in a day what others do in a week. Do your research as to where you go because you can't switch to another dealership until you have tenure. The volume at Toyota is insane. Meanwhile I'm next door at the Buick GMC dealership and our volume is terrible, and I can't switch for months. I'm likely going to have to quit.
