Pros

They foster a work environment based on respect, Typically the people who created negative work environments didn't last very long so all my long term co-workers were great. Benefits were also adequate.

Cons

Management treats you great until they don't. Worked here for 6+ years and did nothing but meet all the expectations for my position. Just kept my head down and worked hard. When layoffs came my supervisor couldn't even work up the decency to thank me for my time spent with the organization. As a matter of fact they said absolutely nothing at all. I completely understand layoffs are necessary but you can still treat people like human beings. Also received 0 notice prior to being laid off and severance was pitiful for a employee as tenured as me.

Thank you for your detailed feedback and for your six years of hard work and dedication to the company. We are happy to hear that you found the work environment respectful and enjoyed working with your long-term colleagues. We appreciate your positive remarks about our benefits as well. We deeply regret that your experience during the recent position eliminations was negative and that you felt unappreciated for your years spent with us. It is certainly not in line with our values to overlook expressing gratitude and respect during such transitions. Your feedback highlights areas where we can improve, particularly in how we communicate with our valued employees during difficult times. We understand the importance of treating everyone with compassion and providing adequate notice and support when we restructure a department or eliminate positions. Your comments about the separation package have been noted and are key for us in reviewing how we handle these situations in the future. A company can always strive to be more effective when making these difficult decisions and feedback like yours will help us do that. If there are any concerns you would like to discuss further, we invite you to reach out to Walser’s Chief Human Resources Officer, Sherry Schultz (sshultz@walser.com). Thank you again for your valuable input and for the years you spent contributing to our organization. Lindsey Trett Director of Talent Acquisition Walser Automotive Group

Pros

Good training, base salary, benefits like health insurance, 401k. Good pay plan for high volume dealerships.

Cons

Pay plan is entirely based on volume, and some rooftops are doing in a day what others do in a week. Do your research as to where you go because you can't switch to another dealership until you have tenure. The volume at Toyota is insane. Meanwhile I'm next door at the Buick GMC dealership and our volume is terrible, and I can't switch for months. I'm likely going to have to quit.
