Pros

Work from home potential, "4 days weeks" but you'll have dealerships able to reach you on your cell. Imagine how that goes.

Cons

Management doesn't want to you to grow. Stay in the same spot and cross your fingers in an economic downturn, Expect to apply to your job when times are tough, My team was forced to reapply many times regardless of performance.

Walser Response

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We appreciate your contributions during your tenure at Walser. The times of transition can be challenging. The first department restructure occurred in response to the pandemic in 2020, followed by significant technology changes that impacted our structure over the years. Ultimately, these changes led to the department’s elimination in 2024, a decision we do not take lightly. Throughout these transitions, we aimed to provide a career path within the finance center, allowing team members to grow within the department. Additionally, employees had the opportunity to explore roles within our dealership network if they wished to continue their career with Walser. We can understand that this was not an easy time, and we are sorry if you did not experience the support we wanted to provide during these transitions. If you have further feedback, we encourage you to reach out to us directly (CHRO - Sherry Schultz @ sschultz@walser.com or myself directly, Lindsey Trett @ ltrett@walser.com). We value the experiences of our team members—past and present—as we continue to evolve and improve. Thank you again for your honesty and feedback. Pros

Good training, base salary, benefits like health insurance, 401k. Good pay plan for high volume dealerships.

Cons

Pay plan is entirely based on volume, and some rooftops are doing in a day what others do in a week. Do your research as to where you go because you can't switch to another dealership until you have tenure. The volume at Toyota is insane. Meanwhile I'm next door at the Buick GMC dealership and our volume is terrible, and I can't switch for months. I'm likely going to have to quit.
