Pros

Unlimited PTO and flexible schedule (usually). Working in the wedding industry was rewarding.

Cons

Communication and transparency were inconsistent. Expectations often changed quickly, making it difficult to prioritize and understand long-term career growth opportunities. Employment was unexpectedly terminated, I was not placed on a PIP nor was I informed of any performance concerns that would have indicated my position was at risk. No salary adjustments for 1.5 years while being told to not expect any for 2026... yet there were funds for new hires, new venues, baseball games, etc...

Pros

Close-knit team, for the most part. It was somewhat of an autonomous job, depending on your manager. Your meting schedule is completely flexible and can easily accommodate your personal life.

Cons

There is a belief amongst the C-Suite level that every region should be able to function as efficiently as DFW, where that HQ of all vendors are based. This is not the case, and it's apparent that the team is feeling the consequences of this initiative. It doesn't make sense to share fewer people across a region where the closest venues are 45 minutes apart. Most of the event coordinators were let go, so planners are now overworked and burnt out. Very little room for growth, if any.
