Good enough to pay the bills - Stylist Wantable Employee Review

Pros

Fully remote position, which is great if you’re looking for flexibility or supplemental income. Supportive team culture — most coworkers are kind and willing to help when they can. A good entry point to gain experience in personal styling or e-commerce.

Cons

Starting pay ($12–13/hr) isn’t enough to live on your own or support yourself long-term. You can only work when there are available orders, and there are often days when work runs out early. Styling metrics are tough — you’re expected to create full, cohesive looks (including outfits and accessories) in under 9 minutes, which is difficult with limited inventory. Management sometimes feels disconnected from the realities of the job, and feedback can feel tone-deaf, especially when inventory is low but expectations stay high. The company is based in Milwaukee and primarily hires from right-to-work states, so location may limit opportunities.

Pros

Employees at Wantable work remotely, which usually means schedules are far more flexible, but with the amount of work employees are expected to handle, the benefits of a WFH setup become almost completely meaningless!

Cons

• Work life balance was terrible despite the remote setup. • Workloads were relentless and expectations were unreasonable. • Deadlines were suffocating and constantly difficult to meet. • Management showed little concern for employee well being. • Pay was disappointing.
