Pros

Great Benefits. Great co-workers. A lot of great patients. Watching patients grow and develop. A variety of cases. Lots to learn. Starbucks across the street.

Cons

Last minute schedule changes. Management likes to push the importance of policies, but chooses to disregard policies if it suits them. You do not get this luxury. You'll rarely see your supervisor, they are always in meetings. It takes several weeks of meetings for them to decide something needs to be done. Several more than to decide what needs to be done. Then longer yet to write a policy about what needs to be done, detailing even the most obvious steps "turn on computer.." You probably won't see this policy until the morning it goes into effect, and it will be 20 pages long. Even asking to turn the heat up from 50 degrees or down from 80 will take a minimum of 3 weeks. If you're an MA, you're just a warm body. Management will make all decisions with no input from the people doing the work. They'll stick you outside in 100 degrees or 10 degrees testing patients for Covid. You can ask for help, but you won't get any. Instead you'll be thanked for your hard work, and the poor conditions will be pooh-poohed. You pay for parking, but then WSU can decide to close down your parking lots during business hours to sell your spaces to rich donors for football games. Condescending management. They say they know why people are quitting - but nothing changes. Managers like to remind their staff how busy THEY are. They'll pull your coworkers for other assignments with no notice. Even if you do something right, they'll hold a meeting where they can explain how staff should handle incidents that were already handled per policy so everyone thinks the people involved must have done something wrong. So many policies, the Patient Service Representatives struggle to schedule patients. Everything is so terrible, your friends will probably think you're exaggerating.

Pros

(Einsteins/The Market): Scheduling works around your classes, makes it very convenient! Coworkers are other students and very chill.

Cons

(Einsteins/The Market): Required to work weekends/during football games/open or close. Fast paced work can get busy sometimes.
