Pros

- The functional teams include many talented, thoughtful colleagues who work well together and genuinely care about doing good work. - There are a lot of smart people here trying to bring products to market that genuinely improve people’s lives. - The company has also made some smart growth-focused acquisition moves, particularly with the recent BD acquisition. - The Milford campus is quite nice as well. - Benefits and pay are decent for the industry and the area.

Cons

- The culture in Milford is deeply toxic. Senior leadership and the C-suite appear completely out of touch while continuing to promote the idea that Waters has a “wonderful culture.” That does not reflect the day-to-day experience of many employees. - Trust in the C-suite leadership team is extremely low. The vast majority of employees do not appear to trust executive leadership, and that should be a serious warning sign. - People leave and are not replaced. While it may not be realistic to replace every person immediately, the pattern here feels extreme. Work is simply pushed onto remaining employees, many of whom are already burned out. - Motivation to go above and beyond is gone in a lot of areas. Employees who try to take initiative often feel penalized rather than supported, so many people do only what is necessary to stay employed. - Some divisions have little to no job growth potential. A few departments seem to value employee development, but they are the exception. Leadership has described development as a company-wide priority, but in practice, there has been little meaningful action. - The constant reorganizations and regular layoffs have seriously damaged morale. It often feels like every new senior leader arrives and launches another reorg within a month or two, creating instability without clear improvement.

Cons

Compensation has not kept pace with inflation, making it difficult to feel rewarded despite strong performance. * Career progression lacks transparency. Advancement opportunities are limited, and there are no clearly defined milestones or timelines for promotion in some functions. * Organizational priorities and direction frequently change, making it difficult to execute long-term strategies. Communication from senior leadership can feel disconnected from the realities of frontline employees. * The company has become increasingly top-heavy, with decisions often taking a long time to reach the people responsible for execution. * Incentive structures have become less competitive over time, which has negatively affected motivation and retention
