Good Pay Bad Environment - Cell Leader Watts Water Technologies Employee Review

Pros

Ever since Covid we've gotten a lot of raises so pay has gotten dramatically better.

Cons

More experienced workers who have been there longer are making the same or barely more than new hires. The turnover rate is absolutely awful. The management doesn't listen and doesn't know how anything works on the floor while continuously sticking their noses in things they don't understand. Some of the supervisors are rude and unprofessional and give away personal information as well as make off-color remarks. It's freezing in the winter and a furnace in the summer. The mandatory overtime is unsustainable and probably contributes to the high turnover rate and inevitable burnout.

Pros

The only pros that I can say about Watts Water is that they are growing and continuously acquire new brands. I would say the PTO also isn’t as bad either comparable to other companies.

Cons

There’s no type of support or process documentation in place which is baffling since this company has been around for over a century. You have to jump through hoops and red tape in order to simplify or automate tasks. Also, management always wants control over things which can get frustrating. They don’t allow you to give ideas at all. They’ll state that they “hear you” but they don’t at all. Their systems are not the best whatsoever. Health insurance premiums are awful. They only offer HSA or PPO and the PPO is ridiculously expensive. I also feel like there’s zero culture. I was there for 12+ months and I barely knew management or coworkers on a personal level. Some departments are super siloed so it’s difficult to have conversations with people and get to know one another.
