Pros

Free lunches, nice work environment, the campus is beautiful, upper management is conservative with spending so the outlook for the business looks good, they're very transparent with company finances.

Cons

-Promotions/pay: The way Wavetronix handles raises and promotions is completely backwards and extremely frustrating. I know several employees, including myself, who were "promoted" but didn't receive a raise or a new salary, and were expected to prove their worth in the position before getting a raise - if one came at all. The pay is already low (unless you're an engineer, who get special treatment) so this experience was quite the slap in the face. Additionally, promotions are treated as just percent raises, so if you get a promotion one year with a raise, your raise the next year will be smaller because "we gave you a big raise last year". -Culture: The talent development and upper management like to brag about how great the culture is and how we're "choosing to make a living together". Then they spend a ridiculous amount of resources making the buildings look fancy, providing free lunches (nice perk, but I'd rather just make more money), hiring a huge catering staff, etc. They do all this and say "look, our employees are having a great time at work because we're providing this incredible work environment" while neglecting the primary reason that people actually go to work: the money. Individual upper managers are good people, they care about their employees, but the system they have set up does not allow for us to feel valued. -Diversity: there is no effort made to hire a more diverse staff, especially in the Utah offices. Nepotism is rampant and is treated as a joke internally, but it is a systemic issue. Family members will always get priority over other candidates. The entire upper management is essentially one big interconnected family.

Pros

Wavetronix has good programs to help employees and foster community. Their internship program is very good, and they put a lot of effort into helping us learn and grow and have meaningful work.

Cons

They stopped giving free lunch everyday. There is still lunch, it is just part of their benefits package. So still a plus!

Pros

They are genuinely trying to do business as human beings and not just a profit machine where human beings are treated like cogs. They have fun events and good benefits. A lot to be involved in if that's your thing.

Cons

It can be frustrating how decisions are made, or not made. A lot of bottle necks. Little autonomy.
