Pros
For part-time employees the scheduling flexibility is great. As long as you average 3 days a week available for a team member, you can spread them however you want. The concept of the company is great and helping seniors transition to their retirement situations is an wonderfully valuable service. There are some incredible people working for this company. They are big on internal promotion. Feedback is encouraged.
Cons
While you can choose what days to make yourself available to work, you cannot choose your hours. They vary wildly. The disconnect between corporate and the field employees who actually perform the work is huge. Rules and policies come out without any understanding of how things actually work, and they frequently change. The disparity between all the great things we are told and reality is stark. Communication is poor, frustration is high, and morale is awful. There is a lack of consistency on projects - some go fantastic, some bomb. Be careful with your feedback - it can negatively affect your evaluation.
