Pros
I began this job a year ago. Hours, benefits, and above average wage drew me to this position. I have not been disappointed by any of these categories. The atmosphere is very friendly and always high paced. There is never down time when nothing can be done. Management is very approachable and there is definitely a "family" environment in the workplace. There are husbands and wives, fathers and sons, cousins and close friends working side by side to achieve the same goals. When a personal matter interferes with work performance, Management is quick to step in and help out in any way they can. Personal time off or guidance and counseling is common place and welcomed. This company truly cares about their Team Members on and off the clock. I do honestly wake each day WANTING to go to work, and end each day KNOWING that I have made a difference.
Cons
There is no defined ladder to success. Department training and mentor-ship is minimal, and in some cases non existent. Distinct animosity between the "have" and "have not" departments and shifts. There are different rules that apply to different departments that create a stress in the workplace that could easily be eliminated.
