Dead end Job for managers - Department Manager WebstaurantStore Employee Review

Management is a dead end job. They create a bunch of hogwash titles for random positions just to make it appear there is more jobs. There is no where to go after a few years as a manager. Management "kindly" suggests people leave a review to increase their ratings. There have been times that senior management instructed us to speak with individuals who may have wrote negative reviews on this site, even though they could not prove it was or was not them. You can tell that they cannot stand negative reviews. When you see one on this site, it is followed by a whole bunch of new positive reviews from the same departments. Everyone screams about the culture....unfortunately that is because if you say anything negative about the place, they put you on a performance improvement plan and blackball you for the duration of your time there. If you make a mistake they hold it against you for the rest of your time. Manager pay is based upon favoritism. They have no pay structure. After discussing pay with other managers, it was obvious that there is a huge discrepancy in pay at the management level. If you are not a yes man......you are gone man. They actually say challenge the status quo, ha. Do that and you will be deemed toxic and shunned.
