* The QA and developer teams themselves are great to work with, full of kind and helpful people * There's a strongly established devops pipeline, few major hiccups as far as process goes * Not overly pushy with work get togethers, though they can be genuinely fun * There's a decent bit of room to move around to different teams and projects if you aren't finding a good fit * Managers are encouraging about using PTO and not overworking * Don't tend to feel like there are a bunch of unncecessary meetings

Cons

* Focus on KPIs encourages bad behavior and hurts overall effectiveness. Work is done to increase numbers while tending to create noise with unecessary tests and overly verbose code * There's strong resistance to improve various internal tools because of planned rewrites, leading to tools languishing for years without quality of life updates * Not much support for QA who are coming from a more manual background and aren't given extra time or resources to adjust to development * Feedback, even when supported by evidence and independent research, often fails to impress upon upper management because of entrenched practices

Flexible schedules that aren't industry standard. 4x10 with Fridays off. Employees within your same team/departments are all friendly and share the same values and ideals Remote work Hasn't performed department wide lay offs -*See cons*

Cons

Pay to responsibility ratio is not great and the gap is widening No bonus Benefits are incredibly stale and haven't drastically changed in any meaningful way in my time here Company provided holidays aren't competitive Culture outside of your immediate team is very cliquey Upper management feels disconnected from day-to-day operations Career growth past mid range is non-existent, the entire department feels stale Department is small enough that directors and VPs will message you directly but big enough that accomplishments go unrecongized Corporate management sweeps things under the rug to avoid broader employee visibility Department heads aim to avoid layoffs but it's very clear that quality of life is being leveraged as a way to reduce headcount
