Pros

I've worked for the company for about 7 years, and I don't plan on ever leaving. The leadership and the direction the company is going in are something to brag about. It truly is a great feeling to love your job, your leaders and your coworkers. We are pretty spoiled at Weedmaps! Ticket giveaways for baller seats to concerts and sporting events happen often. We sponsor great events and can usually attend those events for free or volunteer to work them. Healthy snacks (and the best junk food too) stocked in the kitchens, on site gym, company paid benefits, product sampling ;), traveling, I can go on forever! The absolute best thing about working at Weedmaps is the freedom to be your true self. No need to put up a front at work, that can be exhausting! All of us here are so different from each other, it's wonderful! The beauty of the marijuana industry is that it brings all people together, and Weedmaps is a great example of that.

Cons

There is a lot of work to do, you will never be bored! If that's is even considered a con, I happen to enjoy it.

Pros

I have nothing but good things to say. I would have stayed in my role, but my wife got a job that required us to move.

Cons

None. The company is well on track for success.

Pros

I’ve read many of the reviews here from both current and former employees, and while I respect everyone’s individual experience, I can only speak to my own. Weedmaps is filled with incredibly smart, passionate people who genuinely care about the industry and the company’s success. It is absolutely a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment, but much of that comes with the nature of the cannabis industry itself. During my interview process, the teams were very transparent about the startup culture, the pace of change, and the level of adaptability expected. If you thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy solving problems creatively, and are comfortable moving quickly, Weedmaps can be a great place to grow. If you prefer highly structured environments with slower change, it may not be the right fit for you.

Cons

One area where I do agree with some of the feedback shared in other reviews is around company-wide communication and visibility from leadership. I would appreciate more insight into what different teams across Weedmaps are working toward, as well as a clearer understanding of the company’s long-term vision and direction. That said, I also understand that open forums can sometimes become overly focused on negativity, which can make productive communication more difficult. I’d still love to see more consistent opportunities for transparent updates and alignment across the organization.
