Pros

Snack Boxes. 1 Friday off per month. Some of the Managers are okay.

Cons

Leadership all the way up the ranks. They are incapable of executing on any of the numerous initiatives they suddenly throw your way. They show an incredible level of ineptitude when it comes to understanding what is actually going on in their markets. These high 6 figure "Directors" are barely able to string together a proper sales contest. Newly hired managers make you think "Wow, if THIS person was who they ended up going with.... how awful were the other candidates?" They hire Directors with literally ZERO experience in Cannabis and it very much is reflected in their intelligence level when it comes to the industry. Stock is plummeting. Company has lost 2/3rds of it's value since it's IPO and has shown zero signs of recovering. They have some of the worst retention I have ever seen working across several large tech companies. They scare away their all-stars by shoving asinine KPI's in peoples faces each and every day. To the point where you wonder if the people telling you to do your job have actually even worked in sales. HR Department is bar-none the worst I have ever dealt with. Dutchie is going to eat their lunch. I could keep going and going!

Pros

I have nothing but good things to say. I would have stayed in my role, but my wife got a job that required us to move.

Cons

None. The company is well on track for success.

Pros

I’ve read many of the reviews here from both current and former employees, and while I respect everyone’s individual experience, I can only speak to my own. Weedmaps is filled with incredibly smart, passionate people who genuinely care about the industry and the company’s success. It is absolutely a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment, but much of that comes with the nature of the cannabis industry itself. During my interview process, the teams were very transparent about the startup culture, the pace of change, and the level of adaptability expected. If you thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy solving problems creatively, and are comfortable moving quickly, Weedmaps can be a great place to grow. If you prefer highly structured environments with slower change, it may not be the right fit for you.

Cons

One area where I do agree with some of the feedback shared in other reviews is around company-wide communication and visibility from leadership. I would appreciate more insight into what different teams across Weedmaps are working toward, as well as a clearer understanding of the company’s long-term vision and direction. That said, I also understand that open forums can sometimes become overly focused on negativity, which can make productive communication more difficult. I’d still love to see more consistent opportunities for transparent updates and alignment across the organization.
