Pros
~ More relaxed remote culture (or was, now that tides seem to be shifting and roles are moving onsite) ~ Lots of really cool, friendly people (mainly at lower ranks) ~ ReUp Fridays once a month (day off that doesn't count towards PTO) ~ Pay & benefits were some of the best I've had in my professional career ~ Worked in an industry that I was passionate about, and it was cool being a part of the cannabis roll-out across the United States and Canada ~ My immediate manager and team were great and tight, but I think my experience was more of the exception than the standard
Cons
~ Chaotic senior leadership that sets a toxic vibe all the way at the top of the company, making lower level managers and leaders have to block and shield their employees from the storms happening further up the chain of command ~ Push for onsite roles & culture shifts (HQ is located in a very high cost of living area in southern Orange County) ~ Constant layoffs & shaky employee morale ~ Incomplete tech stack, especially for Sales & Marketing ~ Seems to have a nepotism problem ~Benefits have had some recent reductions (medical insurance had some co-insurance decreases, no more snack boxes for remote workers, no more home office allowance) ~ $MAPS Stock is very low, RSUs are basically worthless if your vesting tranches happened at higher stock prices
