Pros

I work with a good team of other part timers, we have fun and I met a lot of new friends there. Flexible with my schedule and understood my college education was my priority, not my part time job. Management doesn’t really interfere with down time, I can knock a lot of work out.

Cons

The new auto schedule maker is ridiculous, and the corporate fools who put it in place don’t understand they are the problem. Whoever came up with that idea should be fired at a minimum. Managers seem to expect too much from underpaid workers. They act like this job should be your passion even though everyone there is just trying to scrape out a modest living. Customers are generally rude, we get the worst customers. Management has zero backbone to standup to them. Customers have groped cashiers and management doesn’t seem to think it’s an issue. HR is toothless and weak. Our front end manager has cussed out multiple employees on the sales floor, nothing was done even with witnesses present.

Pros

-Easiest retail management you can hold. -Very good work life balance if you run your business well. -Pay is good for effort required

Cons

-Senior leadership of operations is Wal-Mart -Field leadership tries to do the right thing, but nothing is progressed because of senior leadership. -Do not come to the company with ideas. Come work for this company if you like doing what you’re told with no independent thought.
