Pros
Pros about Weis - When I quit and didn't have to work for such a cheap careless company!
Cons
I would NEVER want to work for this company again. I had high hopes in learning the about the process of medications/prescriptions in the Pharmacy but this is the last place you want to gain experience. First off, the pay is ONLY $15.00 an hour, in the year 2025 you would think companies would pay you a livable wage.....NOT WEIS! I was told during the interview once you learn to manually fill prescription bottles you get a pay increase of $1.25. Well almost being there for 2 months they never had me learn other areas! I was constantly stuck sorting bags of prescriptions which is not only BORING but meaningless work. There's also a point system which both the warehouse and Pharmacy follows......1 point per absence. And it does NOT matter if you have a doctor's note, you STILL GET A POINT! So you want associates coming in sick?! ...contagious??? handling medications?! That's WRONG on so many levels! I wouldn't want someone who is SICK handling MY MEDICINE! You will also get stuck with certain individuals who DO NOTHING! My last shift I was sorting and the person in charge of the area did not help sorting. She'd stand there talking instead of helping her co-workers. The people working there now constantly COMPLAIN ABOUT THEIR PAY! This person is certified they should be getting paid more, this person has a college degree they are getting paid more than me! Etc. Etc. Constant complaints and it was really frustrating hearing others being paid more while you only get a measly $15.00 an hour! The Warehouse gets more perks than the Pharmacy as well. They follow the point system....BUT THE PHARMACY DOES NOT GET THE ATTENDANCE BONUS! Which is an additional $2.00-3.00 an hour. So if someone is making $20.00 an hour and they show up to all their shifts, then they actually make $22.-23.00 an hour. HOW IS THAT FAIR?? Pharmacy has to follow the point system but they don't get the attendance bonus? I can see now how that place has a high turnover rate. Low pay - not trained to learn other areas so you can get an increase in pay - overworked and treated like a slave. The company does NOTHING for their employees nor do they care.....probably why they have a low rating!
