Like most things in life, you get out what you put in... - Marketing Director Welcome Software Employee Review

Pros

- Strong vision that is picking up momentum in the market (validated by multiple M&As of direct competitors and players in adjacent categories) and a product ready to deliver - Collaborative and helpful team members (who all also happen to be awesome humans) across every function ready to work together to solve problems - Fast-paced and high-energy environment means new challenges, exposure, and learning opportunities present themselves often - Company is willing (and eager) to promote from within, backing employees who consistently deliver high quality work and demonstrate strong leadership - HR and Leadership teams are successfully leading a "work hard, play hard" mindset — encouraging high-performance while rewarding employees with perks such as recharge weekends, care packages, and more

Cons

- The fast-paced, start-up environment is not for everyone; it's important to be ready to contribute and willing to embrace change - This is not a place for those who rely on micromanagement or a "be told" approach; those who have an eye for seeing problems (read: opportunities) AND take the initiative to solve them will thrive

Pros

Welcome is excellent at hiring genuinely good people. This is by far the most positive, supportive, collaborative and kindhearted group of people I've ever worked with. When you build a values-driven company, the day to day stresses of building a business become so much more manageable. Challenges or problems are talked through and resolved rather than being dismissed or turned to high school gossip. Leadership is transparent and actively encourages two way feedback. And it's all based around the best product team I've ever worked with. I often tell people "Welcome is the first company I've worked at where I've never felt like I wanted to quit."

Cons

This isn't exactly the world's easiest market to crack as a business. There is huge potential, but there is also risk. Like any business, a lot of things are outside of your control. You've gotta be comfortable with frequent rapid change, trying and failing and learning from failure, and gritting it out when it gets tough.
