Pros

The main pro of Welcome is its culture. The camaraderie and genuine desire to be each others' cheerleader is what makes the company the perfect place for young professionals to feel comfortable when starting at the Software Engineering industry.

Cons

As it is in most startups, it takes a certain level of grit to cope with the fast paced nature and it can be a challenge to maintain proper work-life balance. But Welcome encourages employees to ensure they don't burnout (for eg: via Recharge Weekends, Mental health awareness sessions, etc.)

Pros

- Strong vision that is picking up momentum in the market (validated by multiple M&As of direct competitors and players in adjacent categories) and a product ready to deliver - Collaborative and helpful team members (who all also happen to be awesome humans) across every function ready to work together to solve problems - Fast-paced and high-energy environment means new challenges, exposure, and learning opportunities present themselves often - Company is willing (and eager) to promote from within, backing employees who consistently deliver high quality work and demonstrate strong leadership - HR and Leadership teams are successfully leading a "work hard, play hard" mindset — encouraging high-performance while rewarding employees with perks such as recharge weekends, care packages, and more

Cons

- The fast-paced, start-up environment is not for everyone; it's important to be ready to contribute and willing to embrace change - This is not a place for those who rely on micromanagement or a "be told" approach; those who have an eye for seeing problems (read: opportunities) AND take the initiative to solve them will thrive
