An exercise in patience and unfulfilled promises. - Teller Wells Fargo Employee Review

Pros

The company is a nationwide bank which is growing still. A good place to seek employment if one is comfortable with interacting with people and demanding sales expectations based on a quantity basis more so than quality (in terms of actual profit). Very different than Wachovia.

Cons

The previously stated demanding sales is not for everyone. There is a pressure to achieve referrals bordering upon nagging. My experience has been that the personality types who lend themselves to retail banking at WF tend to have poor leadership/teamwork abilities. To be fair, there are some great examples of the opposite. Overall, I would forewarn the appeal of growth within the company may not be as apparent as it is made to you.

Pros

Benefits (but cost creeping up and coverage creeping down each year), Good Morale Both Management and Coworkers, and Honestly a Great Company.

Cons

Cross Selling is the only focus now, firing employees who are great at their job in every area that should matter but if the cross selling results are not meeting the ever ridiculous quota (which continues to rise) than you may not have a job next month. Expectation for customers to say yes to cross selling, leaving you with no real control of your job security. Stress!
