Pros
Job stability. Continued company growth reflected in annual bonuses. Redesigned their evaluation process to better reflect departments that don't handle clinical work. Education opportunities such as linkedin learning (free) and tuition reimbursement.
Cons
A lot of people are involved in processes and approvals so that the system is bogged down for even minute decisions. Processes are hard to manage and relay because they are constantly changing with little or no communication to staff or management. Pay is, as expected for non-profit, lower than the public sector, and the equity evaluations for positions are years behind. No opportunities for raises outside of a very convoluted evaluation process that typically relies on other departments for you to be successful. Communication about changes are rare if sent at all. Transfers/promotions can be severely inhibited if your manager does not want you to leave. Job titles do not match responsibilities.
