Pros

Great coworkers, decent pay, good benefits.

Cons

High tech-to-patient ratio and nurse-to-patient ratio. Techs are given more than10 patients each and expected to still be able to keep up with all of the patients' needs, while often the other tech or the assigned nurse is so busy themselves they can offer no assistance. Bed control does not seem to understand how it stresses an entire unit to receive 4 new patients within thirty minutes of each other (and understaffed unit, might I add). Nursing management doesn't seem to understand patient needs do not diminish at night and night shift employees are even more overworked than daytime associates. Management does NOT give consideration to patient acuity when making assignments. A nurse may have 1 patient who needs constant, q15 minute manual bladder irrigation and that nurse still receives another 5-6 patients along with it. Management likes to give the illusion of wanting to consider nurses' and staff input but never actually listens. Run as fast as you can away from this health system.

Pros

Most techs are hardworking. Standard benefits package.

Cons

High employee turnover due to a lack of trust and psychological safety. Upper management focuses on policing minor processes rather than supporting strategic growth. Feedback from staff is rarely implemented, leading to low team morale.
