Pros

The role provided steady work and the opportunity to gain valuable driving experience. I appreciated the independence of managing my own routes and the chance to interact with different clients and team members along the way. The job itself was straightforward, and I enjoyed the driving aspect of the position.

Cons

Unfortunately, the leadership and organizational structure were very poor. There was little to no interdepartmental communication, which often left me acting as the messenger between departments just to get basic tasks completed. This caused frequent delays in receiving my truck, scheduling repairs, and getting new assignments. The lack of coordination created an unprofessional and frustrating work environment. The main reason I left was due to the company’s refusal to pay my breakdown pay for seven days. I had chosen to save them money by taking an Uber home instead of requiring a hotel stay, but instead of recognizing that effort, they denied me the pay I was entitled to. This lack of fairness and accountability ultimately made it clear that this was not a company I could continue working for.

Pros

Great Experience, ( Exp. May Vary) This is a great job for those who are first setting foot into trucking. The orientation process is, well a process to say the least. I went in looking to do team driving and I got lucky with my partner. If you dont really have anyone waiting for you at home then this job is good. They give you plenty of opportunities to switch accounts and some have ups and downs. Some benefits are okay, and some company sponsored discounts are great. Depending on the dispatcher they can be great or on your butt, Werner does reimburse for schooling which is great but its monthly. Also you do have to train with their trainers and some are either great like mine but ive heard contrary.

Cons

Pay is absolute not adequate. You get locked to 3k a week so your pay is about $900-$1100 depending on the mileage, very rarely did I get anything above and the times I did it was reimbursment for schooling. Saftey is on our butt as they have front facing cameras. These cameras are at a detriment more than for your saftey. Some trainers are garbage, my partner had a trainer who did the bare minimum and she paid the price for it, I have to teach her how to back every now and again.
