Pros

They have good compensation package and bonuses and besides the vacations days they offer personnel days as an additional. Good organization but bad management and decision makers

Cons

They don't have any processes set in the global Mexico division ( freight forwarding). The finance division wants to handle the biz from the inside to the outside and their measures are no flexible for the customers. Some of the senior management wants to handle the biz I the same way of the trucking company and this is not working The operations Mexico team they don't have any experience and the way to handle all the operations are the way they have been trained that is completely wrong as some of the practices they have been managing are not part of the industry or the makert practice. They are not well experience or at least more knowledge of the industry. Either they aren't opened to the changes and to learn best practices, all the time their answers are "this is the way we have been doing in the past" The supervisor's in charge are not offering solutions to the customers and neither they didn't trained or give mentoring to the their teams as all the times they execute all the tasks instead of them. They are not solver problems. They have lack of export movements ( air and Ocean) and the few ones they had and the suppliers they use to move the freight ones are not the correct ones a safe they have extended transit time. Lack of knowledge of the air product ( import and export). They don't have any market presence and buying power in the freight forwarding industry When a trucking supplier is delayed and is not arriving on time to the service that has been requested is not allowed to ask or to request an explanation about the bad service or about the deviation in the process even your customer is pushing Werner GL about solutions, alternatives etc. It's sadly to realice that is more important and they give more importance to the opinion of their suppliers than giving support or give the doubt benefit to their employees.

Pros

Great Experience, ( Exp. May Vary) This is a great job for those who are first setting foot into trucking. The orientation process is, well a process to say the least. I went in looking to do team driving and I got lucky with my partner. If you dont really have anyone waiting for you at home then this job is good. They give you plenty of opportunities to switch accounts and some have ups and downs. Some benefits are okay, and some company sponsored discounts are great. Depending on the dispatcher they can be great or on your butt, Werner does reimburse for schooling which is great but its monthly. Also you do have to train with their trainers and some are either great like mine but ive heard contrary.

Cons

Pay is absolute not adequate. You get locked to 3k a week so your pay is about $900-$1100 depending on the mileage, very rarely did I get anything above and the times I did it was reimbursment for schooling. Saftey is on our butt as they have front facing cameras. These cameras are at a detriment more than for your saftey. Some trainers are garbage, my partner had a trainer who did the bare minimum and she paid the price for it, I have to teach her how to back every now and again.
