Pros

I did not find any Pros. And since I’m required a minimum of 20 words I will reiterate that I found nothing good about working for this corporate company.

Cons

During training you’ll get paid the same low rate whether your sitting on your butt in the hotel or driving 600+ miles a day. No APUs. Meaning you’ll blow your wallet and belt eating fast food and truck stop food for weeks on end. They “allow” a 150 watt inverter which isn’t much more then enough to charge a phone in your cab. The insurance coverage WON’T allow you to add a partner to your coverage if your not married. Recruiters are basically pushers and lie to you about everything, they only care about getting your butt into a truck. No Detention pay at all. Expect 2-6 hour average loading and unloading times without pay. They run you raw. Don’t expect ample time to deliver trucks and don’t expect taking a 34 hour reset after 7 days. You’ll be expected to drive weeks at a time on recap. Horrible company, horrible experience I will never drive for Werner again, and highly recommend you don’t either...

Pros

Great Experience, ( Exp. May Vary) This is a great job for those who are first setting foot into trucking. The orientation process is, well a process to say the least. I went in looking to do team driving and I got lucky with my partner. If you dont really have anyone waiting for you at home then this job is good. They give you plenty of opportunities to switch accounts and some have ups and downs. Some benefits are okay, and some company sponsored discounts are great. Depending on the dispatcher they can be great or on your butt, Werner does reimburse for schooling which is great but its monthly. Also you do have to train with their trainers and some are either great like mine but ive heard contrary.

Cons

Pay is absolute not adequate. You get locked to 3k a week so your pay is about $900-$1100 depending on the mileage, very rarely did I get anything above and the times I did it was reimbursment for schooling. Saftey is on our butt as they have front facing cameras. These cameras are at a detriment more than for your saftey. Some trainers are garbage, my partner had a trainer who did the bare minimum and she paid the price for it, I have to teach her how to back every now and again.
