Pros
Basic perks like health insurance, 401K, and travel funds. They buy as many items as you need for science labs teaching.
Cons
They want you to take a student who has no knowledge at all and transform this student into an excellent nurse. They rather blame you as the instructor than understanding that allowing anyone in this school without a GPA is the root of their problems. Some students manage to follow your instructions and succeed, but many others have no background in science, and this school wants to put them into advanced sciences without giving them first a remedial course to ease the students into the advanced materials in science. Some deans here are very laid back and you never see them, and others are so extreme that they put their instructors in awkward positions in favor of the students, even if a student is super lazy. In other occasions they bully their students to stay in school even if they have no money and live in their cars. The expectations of this school in regards their instructors to teach their students are unrealistic. They ignore your advice as an instructor with regards the needs of the students in order for them to do better. This quickly became a toxic environment and they have favorites. Some instructors earn more than others even if they have the same degree. If an instructor earns a scholarship, they keep the money for themselves. And they will let you go for no reason when they no longer need you.
