Pros

There is plenty of money to be made. You will have to put it long hours for it. High performers are earning $200k+, mid-range to low performers still bring in $100k+.

Cons

Your schedule is never set in advance. It may appear to be set, but it is subject to change on a dime. Schedule updates are sent via text; meaning, that you must constantly check your phone while driving. A typical day might look like this: you drive 1h30m to get to your morning appointment. A few hours later you pack up your car, check your phone, and realize you've been given an evening appointment 15 minutes from your house. Good news, you think you can head home, rest up, work on administrative tasks, and get ready for your evening sales call. You pull into your driveway, ready to work on paperwork, check emails, and reply to salesforce notifications; which must be replied to immediately or you will be reprimanded. Then, you realize you got another text, informing you that an afternoon appointment has been added. Said appointment is 2h15m back the way you came. Let's add that up: 1h30m to your first call, 1h30m back home, then 2h15m to go back then way you came, then 2h15m to come back home again for your evening appointment. This type of day occurs once a week at a minimum. So, you'll end up spending time in grocery store parking lots waiting anxiously for texts to come in about your next appointment before you dare to head into the dentist, pick up your kids, run an errand, etc.

Pros

Compensation when they don’t alter your commissions for stupid reasons!

Cons

Upper management does not care about the person. They tout retention but it never applies to the sales team. They have an unwritten cycle. Work 3 yrs then give you crap leads and bring in new dc’s. Sales managers do not take “coaching plans” seriously. Just a way to cycle you out.
