Thank you for your feedback. WestEd is certainly a professional and interesting place to work, as well as being intellectually stimulating. We are proud of our ability to allow more home-based remote work as appropriate and available. As a non-profit and a quasi-governmental organization, there is some fluctuation year over year in terms of funding and contract renewal, so this may necessitate similar fluctuations in the level of work available. WestEd is in process of considering a work-share program under which programs needing similar work could post availability, and an employee with a similar skill set could potentially take on some of those responsibilities, which we hope will lessen the impact of fluctuations in funding. Our professional development cohort, “PD2” is an excellent opportunity for up and coming leaders to improve. All programs also have the opportunity to send employees for external professional development activities if funds exist. We love hearing from current employees, and encourage you to bring your comments in a more specific way to an internal resource, such as your manager, Human Resources, or our CEO who has an open-door policy.
