Pros
Everyone gets their own office, cafeteria is good and low prices, gym is on-site and cost for employees is good, there is some flexibility with schedule (i.e., possible to work 80%, etc), generally nice co-workers, benefits are reasonable. Could be good for someone right out of undergrad looking for experience, interested in a stable job, and/or lives in Rockville area.
Cons
The main cons for me were the extreme micromanagement, and lack of responsibility and growth opportunities, despite having a Masters and years of experience with greater level of responsibility and autonomy. The projects I was assigned to were very boring and slow moving, so there was often not enough for me to do each day. I really felt like a cog in the machine- not appreciated/ valued or given any amount of intellectually stimulating work, and doing very administrative and simple tasks.
