Pros
If you have a good group and a nice PSUP (personnel supervisor), you will have a good time! I started off at this company with a terrible, condescending and seriously old-fashioned PSUP. However, a little less than a year in, that person left the company. After that I had a wonderful PSUP who gave me the perks that others at Westat appreciate. This included being able to work from home at times for personal reasons and having flexibility in my start and end times for work.
Cons
They say their benefits are great, but you get 5 total holidays and junior level staff is lucky to maybe get 2 weeks of vacation. The upper level staff (particularly, management) do not listen to the ideas of younger staff, who, albeit inexperienced compared to them, have a fresh vision and a much more forward-thinking understanding of the need to adapt to technology.
