Gruesome and appalling experience as Field Interviewer - Anonymous employee Westat Employee Review

This company treats its field staff like garbage. I was fired during a training for the National Health and Aging Survey because I expressed amazement that they actually planned on tracking employees via the cell phones Westat gives its employees. This is actually illegal in a lot of places, including Maryland where the company is based. Supervisors patrolled the halls at the training and yelled at people who left the training rooms, even to go to the bathroom. I felt like I was at Jonestown before they handed out the koolaid. The supervisory staff here are cruel, vindictive, and abusive.Avoid this company at all costs.
