Pros

Depending on manager and group but mostly relaxed, employee-friendly, family-friendly, flexible, good work-life balance environment. Strong job security and stability until recently when things have changed somewhat due to poor business performance. Still, tendency to retain staff for a long time - you can spend your life here. Variety of topics and areas to work. Fluid boundaries between groups so many opportunities to work in different areas if you have the initiative. Private offices, nice cafeteria, and on-site gym. Most people are basically nice people.

Cons

Bureaucratic, old-fashioned, conservative, technologically behind, and overall mediocre quality and standards. Patronage based system - opportunities, participation in initiatives, growth, promotions, recognition, good reimbursements - all happens only if you have patronage of a senior influential manager. Otherwise, you can stagnate all your life here in a snail-track. No mentoring of staff. 70% of employees are women but very large majority of senior leadership and the board is men and White. Some abusive senior managers get away with anything. HR not very supportive.
