Veerrrryyyy cliquey. There was a strong adherence to 'the Westat way' which entailed berating other members of staff, deeming aspects of diversity to be not a good culture fit, and being resistant to change. Due to the largely homogenous employee demographic and work environment, it seems that either people work at Westat for decades or don't last more than a year or so with very little in between. In my short time at Westat there was a great deal of turnover, and I was the 4th person to hold my position in 3 years.
