Pros
There are some very solid departments within Western, I am lucky enough to work for one. - Solid mentorship - Good exposure to new skills - Good community
Cons
- Pay is about 30% less than other Whatcom jobs in my field and about 50% less than seattle jobs. Management would say that benefits make up the difference, but other companies offer similar benefits. - Some departments are very adverse to change - Faculty can sometimes prove challenging to work with - Age demographic is on the older side
