Pros
Western Southern Life is a Fortune 500 Company with a good benifits package and the potential to become great.
Cons
Our misguided leaders (upper management) use extreme micro management in an attempt to justify their positions and maintain all power. These esteemed leaders are more interested in your daily activity rather than actual results. As long as you waste your valuable sales time providing them with numbers and other activities their happy. It's a constant struggle as an agent between satisfying our leaderships need for information and actual income producing work. Currently it is not a Happy place to work! We do have an extremely high turnover in agents and middle managers. The reason for this is due to inexperienced people being promoted to fill a open managers spot. In our leaderships effort to maintain total and complete control they promote these people and treat them like puppets until they cannot take it anymore, usally about a year to a year and a half. This is the reality of working here in 2011. On a positive note, I believe that some person in our leadership (elusive as they may be) will step up and take action very soon to improve this situation and it will once again be a great place to work.
