No Respect or Income...Run Away Now! - Sales Agent Western & Southern Life Employee Review

Pros

Somewhat good health insurance for new employee

Cons

After 8 weeks of salary you go to straight commission. But commission is spread out over long time. Even when on 100% commission they "dictate" that you are in the office about 16 hours a week doing busy work creating a mountain of paperwork that nobody ever looks at. Management fools themselves into believing that doing what worked 40 years ago will work today if we just try harder and harder and harder. Bullying is the sales management idea of being helpful. Turnover is very high. There goal is to show the agents how to earn thirty thousand a year so that they will stay. But they have no idea how to do show them how to do that. When being recruited they say fifty thousand first year. Micromanagement to the extreme. Got a great job early this year and left them behind. Save yourself the agony.
