Pros

Make your own schedule. Good work- life balance.

Cons

After the first 6 weeks it is 100 percent commission. Not much leads, they expect you to prospect in order to find new customers for sales. There will be many weeks your paycheck isn't enough for a tank of gas, which they don't reimburse you for all the gas you spend going to client's houses. Ridiculously high health insurance premiums, with poor benefits.

Incredible training. Took me from no knowledge in the industry to being totally prepared quickly.

Stressful work environment depending on the manager.

Pros

Local office was fantastic. The head of the local agency was a fantastic leader, one of the best I have had. The training program was very hands on. In terms of starting a financial practice with a firm, they have some of the best compensation, with a very strong base.

Cons

HR department is more like police on a different team than on your team. Always seemingly trying to make life harder for reps. Unlike anything I have ever dealt with.
