Pros
If you sort the reviews by date (not by popular or featured, but click the button for “Date” up on the right, above the first review), you’ll see an interesting pattern. Negative reviews are almost immediately followed by one or more (sometimes several more) 5-Star reviews. Come on. Even the BEST companies are not 5 stars in all areas. Be wary of these reviews and make a decision for yourself. This company has a lot of problems.
Cons
If you are interested in serious financial career pursuits or professional insurance agencies, this is not your pick. I have now worked in both the field and in Mgmt. It’s a typical corporate environment, but with the added bonus of not being very progressive. (Women, beware!) Not surprisingly, people in positions of power say and do whatever they please (at the expense of good employees). Not to mention the use of antiquated systems, processes and expectations that change almost weekly (so they can chastise or put employees on notice at will) and the cheap setup of (most) offices in the field. Mistreatment of field employees (including HR violations), coupled with idolization of management figures results in toxic environments.
