Pros
This is one of the best libraries in the area. Many patrons visit from all other towns for the library's resources. The environment is great and the people are very nice. There are many events and organized programs for the public so it is quite a busy place most of the time. The reference desk is very helpful and is one of the strongest aspects of the library, as well as the audio visual department, and children's section. The library gets a great deal of use from patrons of all ages so one is able to aid everyone from small children to much more senior patrons.
Cons
No experience in other libraries or other non profit organizations so it is difficult to compare any pluses versus minuses in this regard. However, the library maintains a part-time status for most of its employees and it is difficult to achieve a full-time position which gives benefits. Part-time has limited hours and lowers incentive.
