Pros

Working at Whatnot as a Product Designer has been an incredibly rewarding journey. The company's fast-paced environment and commitment to growth have provided me with numerous opportunities to learn and evolve in my role. One of the aspects I appreciate most about Whatnot is its focus on rapid progress rather than perfection. This approach has allowed us to continuously innovate and deliver value to our community and sellers. It's a dynamic, ever-evolving landscape that keeps you on your toes and pushes you to think outside the box. In addition to the stimulating work environment, Whatnot also offers excellent benefits. One of the standout perks is the annual budget allocated for learning and development. That being said, this environment may not be for everyone. If you're someone who thrives in a slower, more methodical setting, you might find the pace at Whatnot challenging. However, if you're like me and enjoy a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment where learning and development are at the forefront, you'll find Whatnot to be an excellent place to work.

Cons

-Some minor pains that come with growing fast.

Pros

Strong culture, leadership really encourages feedback and listens/acts. I feel very supported by my manager and loyal to the company and the mission

Cons

Whatnot is all-consuming sometimes, but none of the work feels like a waste of time like at other companies

Pros

Good healthcare and good benefits.

Cons

Increasingly corporate culture Benefits slowly being rolled back every year Must use PTO for any holidays you want off as Ops agent/specialist Utter lack of leadership. Revolving door of managers because they refuse to promote internally for years Repetitive, dull work Toxic work culture. Very petty people in management who don’t accept anything but yes men Virtually no training established and hardly any SOPs written. What little there are of both are very poorly executed (aka people brand new to the work doing the training) No upward mobility whatsoever Arbitrary pay scales and performance reviews not necessarily aligned with performance or tenure. Disclaimer: experience entirely dependent on what team you’re on. Avoid T&R like the plague.
